ABBA Omnibus

Welcome to the new home of ABBA Omnibus | everything ABBA for everyone.

The 50th anniversary of ABBA’s win of the Eurovision Song Contest was celebrated in grand style across April and May, with special events in London, Stockholm, and of course Brighton, where the 1974 song contest was held. The climax was a special appearance by the ABBA avatars at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, reminiscing about the contest 50 years ago.

The anniversary is also commemorated with new record and merchandise releases – see the Waterloo 50th anniversary page for those special new items.

Fans in Australia will be celebrating at the ABBA Day Down Under 2024 in June. This is the first of what will hopefully become a regular event. The Choir by ABBA The Museum will also be visiting Australia for some special performances.

Benny Anderssons Orkester will be holding their first concert in five years in Stockholm in June. There are rumours that this may be the final performance of the band. BAO’s new single ‘Vårarna som försvann’ is available now on all digital services, and a new album is expected later this year.

On 31 May the four members of ABBA were be awarded the Royal Order of Vasa as Commander of the First Class for “very outstanding efforts in Swedish and international music life” from Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
