Robert "Bob" Patrick Rae, 95, of McKeesport passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024. Robert was born on September 22, 1928 and was the son of the late William and Madeline (Marley) Rae. He was the husband of 47 years to the late Arletta Jean (Tolgen) Rae. He was a lifetime resident of McKeesport, who attended Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Robert was a Veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Army Signal Corps. He was employed and later retired from Sears, Roebuck & Company. Robert was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan and also enjoyed walking, gardening and reading.

Jerry A. Zebrak, age 71, of Port Vue, died at home on June 3, 2024. Born on April 17, 1953, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Laura (Brzek) Zebrak and was the loving husband of 39 years to Leslie (Lape) Zebrak.  A proud graduate of McKeesport Area High School in 1971, Jerry worked many years as a research technician for a refractory company before retiring in 2016. Jerry actively engaged with his community, being a member of the 11th Ward Club and the Port Vue United Methodist Church. But it was his love for family and friends that truly defined him. He found joy in simple pleasures, such as watching Hallmark movies, with a soft spot for heartwarming Christmas classics. His love for family and friends was evident in every moment spent together, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.  In his younger years, Jerry enjoyed playing in softball leagues, partaking in fishing excursions, and golfing. These activities brought him immense happiness and left him with cherished memories. A man of kindness, integrity, and a gentle spirit, Jerry's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and had a knack for making people laugh. Yet, his legacy of warmth and compassion will continue to inspire and guide those whose lives he touched, reminding us of the power of a life well-lived.

She was born in Monongahela on July 9th, 1949 to the late George and Dorothy Mae Shaw Allen. Dana was the loving wife of 57 years to Charles “Bill” W. Goodrum. In addition to her beloved husband Charles “Bill” Dana is further survived by her children Dawn (Robert) Loera in Clairton, Tina Goodrum of Glassport, and Sean (Tammy) Goodrum of Glassport, siblings George (Joyce) Allen of New Eagle, Richard (Joyce) Allen of New Eagle, Carol Daffern of Castle Shannon, Lynne (Richard) Kraus of Donora, grandchildren Chelsea, Dakota, Dayton, Robert, Tyler, Zachary, Mikayla, Cole, Maleena, and great-grandchild Adeline, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Lynn Allen. She worked as a bartender for the Polish National Alliance #750 in Glassport for over 18 years. Dana was a member of the P.N.A. #750, the W.A.C.C. club, and the Croatian Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling, winning at the casino, she also loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed riding on motorcycles, fishing, boating, jet skiing, and camping ­‑ and loved doing them with her family. Her family was the center of her life and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Born December 30, 1966 in Elyria, Ohio, she was a daughter of Rosalind K. (Baclawski) Wigginton of Baldwin and the late Fred D. Wigginton. Prior to his retirement, John was employed as a Heavy Highway Laborer for Union 1058. In his free time, he enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and loved to watch old western movies. Jack J. Lenze, age 77 of Elizabeth, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Hospital in Manhattan.  He had recently made the long trip from his condo in Hallandale, FL to New York, with plans to relocate to Westchester County to spend his days with his daughter Heather, his son-in-law Nathan, and his grandchildren, Quinn and Bear.  He was looking forward to watching Bear play soccer, treating Quinn to ice cream cones, spending time in the Catskill Mountains, and being a short train ride away from Reston, VA, where he loved to visit his son Mike, daughter-in-law Audrey, and best buddy and grandson Luca. 

Born January 20, 1947 in Munhall, PA, Jack was a son of the late Anthony and Rena (Martorelli) Lenze.  A retired science teacher for the West Mifflin School District, Jack was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Michael's Church.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, the late Kathleen A. (Zewe) Lenze, who died on June 29, 2023—whom we know was waiting for Jack with a big hug and a slice of homemade berry pie at the gates of Heaven.

He loved all levels of football, especially the University of Michigan and the Detroit Lions, and was a member of a Southwest Bowling League of Main Bowling Center Greensburg. Sandra L. “Sandy” Kirkman, age 63, of Forward Twp., closed her eyes and slipped into eternity on Friday, May 31, 2024, around 5PM after a long, hard-fought illness. In her mother’s arms she now rests while leaving many with fond memories and heavy hearts. Sandy was a longtime resident and vocal citizen of Forward Twp. She was a devout Christian and loyal member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Elizabeth. Sandy didn’t have any children of her own, but she had many children in her life which she loved and cherished. She made a career out of caring for people and that’s how she spent her final days, making sure her father would be well tended. Sandy was an avid Steelers fan and went out of her way to never miss a Forward Twp. meeting. She loved going out to eat and would always frequent local, family-owned restaurants. She vacationed in Florida twice a year and loved relaxing in her pool. Sandy was preceded in death by her biological mother, Mary Louise Moutz, and her beloved surrogate mother Ruth (Moutz) Kirkman. She is survived by her father, Gordon E. Kirkman; cousins, Joe (Adry) Moutz and Mary (Duvon) Corbitt; niece, Kelly (Mark) Wesolosky and their children, Julia, Libby, Suzanna and Luke; godson, Keith (Stacey) Abels and their children, Haylee, Braylynn and Gage; her longtime neighbor, friend, caretaker and “sister”, Jennifer (John) McPherson and their daughter Brenna whom Sandy had always adored and never missed an event in which she was a part; also, good friends, Pam, Dave, Becky, Ed and Eddie. Michael "Dink" Derewonko

Michael "Dink" Derewonko, 72, of Glassport, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  He was born November 20, 1951 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Leonard M. and Blanche J. (Zaurski) Derewonko.  Dink was a US ARMY Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era in Germany, he was an M16 Sharpshooter, Expert Grenade and for his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.  He worked in maintenance for Epic Metals for 10 years.  Dink was an avid bicycle rider, he also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was Coach Mike for his son's hockey teams and loved the game of hockey as well.  Dink loved to kick back after a long day of work and have an ice cold Stroh's. He will be greatly missed.
