  • PHI Starting Pitcher #55
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Suárez is slated to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and is trending towards taking the ball this weekend in London against the Mets. The 28-year-old southpaw is reportedly feeling much better of late after being hit by a comebacker last Saturday against the Cardinals. X-rays came back negative and it looks like he’ll be ready to take the ball this weekend.
  • HOU Left Fielder #30
The encouraging development here for fantasy managers is that X-rays came back negative for any fractures and Tucker hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet following an early exit from Monday’s series opener after fouling a ball off his right shin. It’ll be Mauricio Dubón taking over in right field on Tuesday evening in his absence. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #45
Here we go. No word on how close a potential deal may be, but it’s worth noting the two sides struck a deal a few months ago centered around White Sox ace Dylan Cease and appear to be circling another potential blockbuster. San Diego’s starting pitching depth took a serious hit last weekend with Yu Darvish (groin) and Joe Musgrove (elbow) landing on the injured list so it wouldn’t be shocking to see Padres general manager AJ Preller getting aggressive to fill the void. Crochet is in the midst of an unexpected breakout campaign with a stellar 3.49 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 93/15 K/BB ratio across 69 2/3 innings (13 starts). The former top prospect is still only 24 years old and figures to command an astronomical asking price in trade talks.
  • WAS Shortstop #5
Abrams is back at shortstop and leading off on Tuesday night at Nationals Park following a three-game absence due to shoulder soreness. The 23-year-old probably could’ve used a few days off since he’s been mired in a mini-slump at the dish recently. He’s been phenomenal overall this season with nine homers and eight steals through 53 contests.
  • CWS Center Fielder #28
Pham will be out of action for at least a week-plus with the injury, but there’s no timetable for a return. it comes shortly after Pham threatened to fight the entire Milwaukee team, but it doesn’t appear the injuries are related. Zack DeLoach is up from Triple-A in a plethora of corresponding transactions.
  • CWS Center Fielder #88
Robert Jr. is officially back to handle center field for the White Sox after missing close to two months with his hip injury. The 26-year-old may have some rust to shake off, but fantasy managers are well aware of what Robert Jr. is capable of at his best. He’ll take the place of Tommy Pham, with Pham on the injured list with an ankle sprain.
  • TOR First Baseman #27
That will make two of three games that Guerrero Jr. is playing third base. The infielder has been swinging the bat better as of late, and Toronto is giving him a chance to handle the hot corner. Justin Turner is playing first base and Daniel Vogelbach will operate as the designated hitter while hitting fourth.
  • BOS Right Fielder #17
If that game goes well, Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters that O’Neill could be activated off the injured list prior to Wednesday’s game against Atlanta. There’s also a chance they could wait one more day if they feel the outfielder needs a little more time, but either way, the activation is close. It’d be a significant return for the Red Sox, especially after Wilyer Abreu was placed on the injured list with his ankle sprain. Fantasy managers who roster O’Neill should be ready to bring him back up.
  • PIT Catcher #32
Davis is officially up from Triple-A and will catch Tuesday. The first-overall pick of the 2021 draft has struggled against MLB pitching, but at the age of 24, there’s time for him to turn things around. Fantasy managers should wait and see how he goes about doing that before adding him to their respective rosters.
  • BOS Right Fielder #52
Abreu hurt his ankle during Sunday’s loss after sliding down the dugout steps in the game. He’ll miss at least a week, but his status going forward will be determined by testing, which manager Alex Cora reports is happening currently. Tyler Heineman is up from Triple-A Worcester to take Abreu’s place on the roster.
