We discovered this Key West dive across from the beach in Fort Lauderdale years ago before a cruise. Every time we are back in FLL we stop here for drinks.

The marina location is great for watching yachts and the drinks are a decent price. The food is just ok. We ordered some conch fritters which I really have to stop doing since these rarely have much conch in them no matter where I get them. The smoke fish spread was very good but the crackers and veggies with it seemed slapped together.

Note to self: just drink here!

A Dive Bar on the Water with Beautiful Views to enjoy equipped with a Full Bar and Kitchen, grab a seat, stay, and have fun!

Bahia Cabana is located at the further end of South A1A strategically positioned on the Marina! You can arrive by Boat or by Car. Boating Arrival they have Self Serve Docking; Car Arrival there is only parking through Valet. If you would prefer to Self Park there is a lot across A1A at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Park where you can Pay to Park.

Walking up you will notice that you can also stay at their Hotel. The Restaurant is larger being all Open Air with plenty of Covered and Uncovered Patio Seating along with a Circle Bar. Lots of Fans are Circulating around but it does get hot depending on the time of day you visit.

Serving Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour, and Dinner there is always Specials going on! Daily Food Specials from their normal menu are continuous each day. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 3pm to 7pm with $2.50 Beverages and $6 Select Appetizers. They also run a Late Night Happy Hour with Live Entertainment from 10pm to 1am Nightly!

We are lured in by their Happy Hour on Bottled Beer; they do not have Drafts. As this is still a Dirty Dive Bar beware of certain food items. We have now visited for Breakfast along with our Afternoon Adventures here. I would not recommend their Breakfast Dishes but their Ahi Tuna Sliders and Bar Bites are a hit! Their Menus offer an assortment of selections that are considered simple Seafood Bar Food.

For a good time and laid back fun Happy Hour is the best time to visit! Cheap Drinks with Picturesque Views make your visit one of a kind!

I bought a Groupon and decided to try Bahia Cabana for breakfast. No valet during breakfast but you can park for free in the front. If you dint want to pay for Valet you can park across the street in parking lot near beach which is metered.

It was a rainy day so we really couldn't enjoy the views as they were covered with plastic to keep out the rain. They also allow smoking because it's an outdoor restaurant. I don't like that at all. A guy sitting at the bar area was smoking and it did linger over to our table as we were eating breakfast.

As far as the food it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. My husband French toast was very good. My eggs and home fries were average. You're paying for the view of the marina. There were also a lot of flies which were annoying.

The bathrooms need serious help. Not the cleanest and need a little updating.

Good value with Groupon but overpriced without it. I wouldn't go back for food. Maybe good for cocktails only.

Two egg breakfast with home fries and rye. Coffee could be hotter and stronger.
Nice view of Marina. Too bad it wasn't a nicer day to enjoy it.

Had Saturday brunch here with the girls. It's right off of US1 so you can either do public parking at the beach down the street or pay $10 for valet parking at the restaurant.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is very relaxing. It overlooks a marina and you can watch the water taxis go by.

We loved the food. Good sandwiches, fries and drinks. If you sign up for a VIP card, you can get a discount on future visits.

Came here for Sunday brunch, the food was great and there was a lot of it. Definitely no skimpy portions here. Only downside is there wasn't too many waiters/waitresses so both the service and food prep was on the slower side. I saw some people sitting for about 10 mins without getting greeted or a menu. Luckily for us we got here early (9:30) and were attended to right away.

Update (Same day. Still waiting on check to leave)

I wrote this right after the meal about 20 mins ago. We sat and sat and sat waiting for our check and I started to notice that the restaurant was getting full on patrons. Still only 2 waitresses for about 30 tables. Not a good combo. Definitely will think long and hard before the next time I come if the great food is worth an hour and a half meal. It's nothing against the waitresses either. It's gotta be very hard to manage 15 tables each. Hire and schedule more waitresses and waiters! You'd have a 5 star restaurant if you did.

French toast breakfast. Very good and a lot of food.

I always love this place. When I come to town it is a must for breakfast. This time I noticed a groupon and bought 2! Last Saturday we went and the food was awesome! Breakfast sandwich, omelette, French toast and bloody's! Started the day perfect! Today we went and in less then a weeks time the valet went up from $3 to $10!???
Apparently corporate thought to increase that much no one would notice? It didn't matter if you ate or not..$10. I spoke with the manager and he said his hands are tied. I feel bad for all the workers. This place is going to lose mega local business, bakers are going to lose top money. A shame, I guess since the building didn't get out thru they are looking for $ elsewhere. Goodbye BC!! It's been nice knowing u for 30 years!! I am not paying $10 to eat or drink here! The W hotel is even cheaper!!!

Taking the water taxi we stopped at the Bahia mar resort / beach. We decided to pick up some drinks due to the weather because it was extremely hot outside.

We went directly to the bar to have drinks. They have great reasonable prices we had two piña coladas, and they asked for ID even though I didn't want it with liquor lol but I think it was because it was so full of tourist is the reason why they asked. They were only 3 bartender there so they were serving plus handing out drinks at the same time.

The pricing average from $9.00 & up per drink which isn't bad at all. Highly recommend guys for drinks !!

I really love this place. It's sort of a shabby hole in the wall, very laid back, Key West/Old Florida type of atmosphere with a drop dead gorgeous on the Intercoastal water view of Bahia Mar Marina.

The dinning is all basically patio, with generally good food. However, their baby back ribs are just about if not the best in Fort Lauderdale. Why the rest of their food can't come up to match I don't know. It's probably because "Chubby," their cook of long ago didn't pass down all of his good recipes before his untimely death.

The drinks are generally just ok and for pool and other reasons of safety, served in tiny plastic cups. I can understand that being necessary but I don't enjoy drinking out of plastic, especially when the plastic cup is skimpy, small and dixie in size.

The service is excellent, professional and polite.

One of the reason I enjoy the place is because of the boat docking (I usually come by boat as hate dealing with valets for automobile parking) and their helpful dock attendants. That is if you can get a slip. Usually you can on weekdays, but on weekends on season, you have to have a lot of luck on your side.

The place is anything but elegant, but it wasn't meant to be that. It's a basic somewhat rowdy half run down fun filled patio dinning and drinking joint, also a part of a hotel, in the Key West tradition. For what it is meant to be, it does a great job of it and is a treasure to have since we have lost so many of these places during the days of the real estate boom of the 90's and early 2000's.

I would say this place is a must for the view and the fun atmosphere.

If their other food were as good as their ribs, which it isn't, and if their drinks weren't so skimpy, I'd even go the five stars for it.

Came here for breakfast this past Sunday. My friend got a great deal on Groupon for this place so we decided to try it out. I'm not really a big breakfast eater, but I was craving eggs. Opted for the Bahia burrito instead of an omelette since it already came with everything I wanted with my eggs (cheese, tomato, onions, and peppers), and plus it was cheaper. Wasn't the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. I wish it had a little more egg and less veggies, but it was still okay. I sampled some of my friends' dishes, as well. I'd say everything was good, but mostly pretty average. We definitely got our money's worth, although even without the Groupon deal, everything seemed reasonably priced. I recommend the side of corn beef hash and the French toast. They don't skimp like other places, their slices are nice and thick!

As for the service, it took a little while to get our waitress' attention at first, but for someone serving so many tables alone she did an excellent job. She was quick to take our orders and the wait for our food wasn't long.

Overall a nice place for breakfast, especially for the waterside view.
