A while back I wrote about having an option to follow and interact with different independent websites like you can do in twitter or Facebook. It seems that the Web 3.0 is coming soon to ghost ! Can't wait to see how it al plays out ! Will people dust off their own blogs ? Will it become mainstream again to have your blog ?
Now that the redesign is almost done, About 90% ! it's time to start writing more ! But that's not so easy ! I definitely need to make it a habit. At least once a day ? even a little post twitter-like. I made the design for it !
I'm on a roll, I'm having so many ideas for this website so many small things to code still ! but trying to keep the structure the same as I always come back to something similar anyway !

Small pleasures of life ! Today I started BJJ again, after more than a year and a half off, after I injured my shoulder ! This time it's not in a club, it's a very small comity of 4 with 3 white belts and one black belt ! Needless to say we get a lot more information ! It feels so good to learn something again !
Now this is something that gets me fired up ! Finally a messaging app that you fully own and operate like as you want and host on your own server ! And it's a single on off payment !

New Netflix series by Guy Ritchie ! Based on the movie 'The Gentlemen' with Mathew McConaughey. It's been a while since I was so pleasantly surprised by a Tv show this way ! The series id fast paced and the actors really well suited for their role ! Must watch

Today I underwent surgery, and at this time I'm still a little groggy from the anesthesia. but figured It would be a good time to share the post-op experience. After I have an operation this includes full anesthésia ( I only had 3 in my life ) I always feel the same.
Happy to be alive when you wake up, and not stressed about little that usualy stress me. I believe I put things in perpective in a way that I can't usually.
In some ways I thinks I consider the possibility of dying on the table and when you wake up well, you feel some kind of gratefulness, some kind clear vision of what counts and what doesn't !
I might have to come back to this post when all the drugs are flushed out of my body, but it feels nice just writting ;)
After purchasing the Iphone 14 Pro when it came out, I decided today to switch back to my old beloved Iphone 13 Mini. What did I loose ? Well absolutely nothing, there was simply no fonctions that the Pro had that I used enough to justify carrying this huge phone. Mind you I do't have big hands, but even in my pocket it felt heavy and big !
The size of the Mini is just a perfect combination of weight, form and function at least for me ! It feels great in my hand and as fast and responsive as any iphone I ever had ! The bottom line that until Apple goes back to creating phones that fit in my hand, I will keep the Mini, so no Iphone 15 for me that's for sure. Don't get me wrong I like innovation as much as the next guy but not at the cost of confort !
And honestly even the screen size for browsing web page feels great ! As for the battery I just leave my Iphone on my dock when at the office, and I get full day of use no problems.
Apple bring back the mini form factor please ...
On Monday this week, we made an offer to buy a house, this is a first for me and my partner, we both feel like grown ups now even tough I'm well over 40 and she is nearly 40 and we have two children. But buying a house is something that puts you in different category ! Who hasn't had a dream when they were little to get a big house with a garden 2 children and a dog ? Isn't that what life is all about ?
Well this is it ! Or at least we sure hope so, and after searching for quit some time we finally both agreed that this house was for us ! Now we just need the bank to agree also ... And if everything goes according to plan we should move in at the end of September.
The more I write on this blog the more I realise how easy it is ! Let me explain, I don"t have to keep an appearance, don't have to smile for a picture if I don't feel like it, don't have to have a funny line to get people to like or love or share my post !
This is mine, don't have to worry about guidelines, or politically correct speech, I can swear or even yell ( you won't hear that of course ;) ). This is were I can unleash my thoughts as I want to. Don't care about following, don't even care about how many people see this site.
But if I keep it up it might become a very valuable ressource for me when I get older ! I have been on and off with this website for years ! Actually since 2004 under many different domain names ( jpgams.com / jaypegams.com ) But I always wanted to get something out of it, don't know exactly what, recognition for what ? no idea ? Clients ? I not selling anything ! But the idea, the dream of that was what I was looking for ! I'm not anymore !
I have a thought I might want my older self to read, this is the place, I want to vent this is the place, I want to share this is the place. Bref , this is easy and this is my space.
Now I need to make a Now page like everyone else ...
